Google Business Profile Post Sync connects your Google Business Profile with Tekmatix Social Planner and automatically imports supported posts that have already been published.

This means your existing GBP content can appear alongside posts from your other connected social channels, giving you a more complete view of your content activity.

Tekmatix can sync several Google Business Profile post types, including:

• Standard posts

• Event posts

• Offer posts

• Call-to-action posts

What Information Is Synced?

When supported Google Business Profile posts are imported into Tekmatix, important post information is retained wherever available.

This can include:

• Post summary text

• Images and media

• Call-to-action buttons

• Event information

• Offer details

Once the sync is enabled, your imported Google Business Profile posts will appear inside Social Planner alongside your other scheduled and published content.

Automatic Daily Google Business Profile Sync

Tekmatix automatically refreshes your supported Google Business Profile content and available engagement data every 24 hours.

You will also be able to see sync status information and receive prompts if your Google Business Profile connection needs to be reconnected.

It is important to note that this is a daily sync rather than a real-time connection.

How to Enable Google Business Profile Post Sync in Tekmatix

To start syncing your Google Business Profile posts:

1. Log in to your Tekmatix account.

2. Go to Marketing.

3. Open Social Planner.

4. Go to Settings.

5. Enable Google Business Profile Post Sync.

6. Allow the initial sync to complete.

7. Return to Social Planner to view your imported Google Business Profile posts.

   

The feature is currently available through Labs and must be enabled for each applicable location.

How Far Back Does Tekmatix Sync Google Business Profile Posts?

By default, Tekmatix will attempt to sync posts published within the previous 30 days.

If there are not enough recent posts available, Tekmatix can automatically import older posts, going back up to 365 days.

This can be particularly useful if you want a more complete content history inside Social Planner without manually rebuilding previous Google Business Profile posts.

Can You Clone Synced Google Business Profile Posts?

Some synced Google Business Profile posts can also be cloned inside Tekmatix.

Cloning is currently supported for:

• Text-only posts

• Single-image posts

Multi-image posts and video posts cannot currently be cloned because of Social Planner composer limitations.

Important Things to Know

There are a few things to be aware of when using Google Business Profile Post Sync.

The sync runs every 24 hours

Changes will not appear instantly. Tekmatix refreshes supported Google Business Profile posts and data approximately once every 24 hours.

Engagement data depends on Google

The engagement metrics available inside Tekmatix are limited to the information made available through Google Business Profile APIs.

Deleted Google Business Profile posts may remain visible

The sync currently works in one direction:

Google Business Profile → Tekmatix Social Planner

Because of this, deleting a post from your Google Business Profile does not automatically remove the previously synced version from Social Planner.

The feature must be enabled for each location

If you manage multiple Google Business Profile locations, you may need to enable the feature individually for each location.
