How to Enable Document Viewed Notifications

1. Navigate to Settings:
   

   • Go to Payments > Documents & Contracts > Settings > Team Notifications.

2. Turn on Notification:

   • Toggle Document Viewed ON to receive an email when your document is first viewed by any recipient.

3. (Optional) Customize the Email Notification:

   • Subject: Change to something like “Your Document Was Just Viewed!”
     

   • Body: Add helpful details and include {{Preview URL}} so your team can quickly review the document.

4. 📩 You’ll only receive one alert for the very first view—across all recipients.

If your document has multiple recipients and you want a notification every time someone views it, you can automate it using a workflow:

1. Go to Automated Workflows > Workflows > Create Workflow.
   

2. Use the trigger:

   • Documents & Contracts > Document Viewed (Status = Viewed)
     

3. Add your desired action(s), such as:

   • Send Email
     

   • Notify via Slack or SMS
     

   • Assign Task
