If you’re running a business, your calendar is one of your most valuable assets. It’s where your time, your clients, and your income meet. That’s why keeping your appointment settings up-to-date—your pricing, your availability, and the types of sessions you offer—is absolutely essential.
I personally update mine every quarter. This gives me a chance to review my availability, adjust my pricing if needed, and refine what kinds of appointments I’m offering. Here’s a step-by-step guide to updating and editing your calendar booking appointments in Tekmatix.
From your Tekmatix dashboard, head over to Calendars in your left-hand menu and click Calendar Settings.
This is where the magic happens—you can create unlimited appointment types and embed them on your website, funnels, or any booking page. For example, I have mine embedded right on my contact page so clients can book directly without back-and-forth emails.
When creating a new calendar (or editing an existing one), you’ll be able to:
Name your appointment – I recommend naming it by call duration (e.g., “60-Minute Strategy Session”).
Add a description – Tell clients exactly what’s included, what’s not, and what they can expect.
Assign it to a group – Think of groups like folders. If you have a team, you might have “Sarah’s Calendars” and “Maria’s Calendars” so everything is organised.
Customise the URL – Each appointment can have its own link.
Choose your meeting location – Drop in your Zoom link, Google Meet room, or even an in-person address.
Next, decide when you want to be available for this appointment. You can toggle days on or off, set time ranges, and block off any non-negotiable focus time.
I recently deactivated some of my longer sessions and now only allow up to three-hour bookings unless it’s part of a group program. It keeps my schedule balanced and sustainable.
This is the section most business owners forget about—don’t let your pricing sit stagnant!
Inside the Forms & Payments area, you can:
Update your price (perfect for quarterly reviews).
Select your currency.
Decide if you’ll allow part payments (I recommend full payment upfront for 1:1 bookings).
Under Notifications, you can turn on and edit automated appointment reminders and confirmations. Tekmatix has built-in templates, but you can tweak the wording so it sounds like you. This saves you hours of admin and keeps no-shows to a minimum.
When you’re ready, hit Share Calendar. You can:
Copy the embed code to place the booking widget directly on your site.
Share a direct booking link to one appointment.
Or, share a group link to show multiple appointment types in one view.
This makes it simple for clients to book without needing to email you first.
If all of this feels a bit much or you just want peace of mind, you can hire a Tekmatix TekSpert for just $50/hour. They’ll set up or optimise your calendars, sync them with Google, and make sure everything runs seamlessly. You can book them right from your Tekmatix dashboard.
Keeping your Tekmatix calendars fresh and accurate is one of the easiest ways to protect your time and maximise your income. By regularly updating your availability, prices, and appointment types, you’ll stay in control of your schedule and keep your client experience smooth and professional.
