How To Collect In-Person Signatures Using the Tekmatix Mobile App

When you’re meeting clients face-to-face, nothing slows the process more than printing, emailing, or chasing signatures later. With Tekmatix’s mobile app, you can now collect in-person signatures instantly directly on your phone or tablet.

This functionality is available in the Tekmatix mobile app and all whitelabeled versions. If you’re using a whitelabeled app, ensure your app is updated to the latest version to access in-person signatures.

View as Signer

Open any published document and complete the signing process on behalf of a specific recipient.

Recipients can sign using:

• Typed signature

• Free-hand drawing (finger or stylus)

Create documents using templates that already contain signature fields for fast setup.

How To Collect In-Person Signatures on Mobile

Follow these simple steps to collect signatures during meetings or on-site interactions.

1. Log in to the Tekmatix Mobile App

Make sure you're logged into the correct sub-account before you begin.

2. Go to Documents

From the left-hand navigation menu, tap Documents & Contracts.

3. Create a New Document

• Tap Create Document

• Choose a saved template that already includes signature fields
  (This ensures all required signers appear later.)

4. Publish the Document

• Tap the Share icon

• Copy the document link

• Publishing will automatically change the document’s status

5. Locate the Published Document

1. Exit the document editor

2. Go to the All Documents tab

3. If the document is not showing as Sent, simply refresh

4. Once marked Sent, it becomes available for signing

6. Open the Document in “View As” Mode

• Tap the ⋮ (three dots) beside the document

• Select View as

• Choose the signer you want to collect the signature from
  

  
  

  
  

7. Collect the Signature (Hand Device to Recipient)

The signer can now:

• Sign using finger or stylus

• Type their signature

• Fill in any additional required fields
  

8. Repeat for All Additional Signers

If the document requires multiple signatures:

• Repeat the View As → Select Signer → Collect Signature steps

• Each person signs directly on your device
  

9. You’re Done!

Once all signatures are collected:

• The document is fully executed

• Completed copies are automatically saved inside Tekmatix

• All parties receive their signed document if notifications are enabled

Sample Scenario: How a Consultant Uses This Feature

Mandy, a business consultant, hosts in-person strategy sessions with clients. At the end of each session, clients need to sign a service agreement.

Without Tekmatix:
She used to send documents via email and wait days for signatures.

With Tekmatix Mobile In-Person Signing:
