New Feature Alert: Enhanced Privacy - Hide Third-Party Calendar Details
TekMatix just got a new feature update, which focuses on individual privacy when it comes to managing your calendar. We are excited to introduce the Private Mode for Synced Events. It’s one of the most requested features, and finally you can keep all your events that show up on your calendar from 3rd party calendar integrations only visible to your eyes.
Whether you're a professional handling sensitive information or just someone who values privacy, this feature ensures your calendar stays under your control.
We’ve added a Private Mode for synced events, allowing users to keep their third-party calendar details confidential. When this setting is enabled, only the user who connected the calendar will be able to view the event details. This ensures that others cannot see them on the platform.
How to Use the Private Mode for Synced Events
This feature is designed to enhance privacy and prevent unauthorized access to your third-party calendar events. And the best part? It's super easy to use!
You can manage this feature from two simple locations: My Profile and Calendar Settings. Let’s walk through how to access it from both spots.
My Profile
Head over to Settings > My Profile.
Now click on “My Profile”:
Scroll down a bit until you find the Calendar Configuration section.
Look for the Private Mode for Synced Events option.
You can easily enable or disable it to suit your needs.
Calendar Settings > Connections
Go to Calendar Settings > Connections.
Scroll down until you see the Private Mode for Synced Events option.
Just like before, toggle it on or off according to your preference.
A Little Heads Up:
This feature is currently available in Labs and is enabled for all users by default. This means your synced events are already set to be private, giving you that peace of mind right from the start.
With the Private Mode for Synced Events, you can enjoy the convenience of a synced calendar without worrying about prying eyes. Happy scheduling!
