Easily grant or revoke access to private channels within your community groups
In community-driven platforms like Tekmatix, managing member access is essential to creating secure, relevant, and engaging experiences. The Grant/Revoke Private Channel Access feature empowers you to automate who can see and interact with specific private channels—without manual work.
This not only saves time but ensures members get access to the right content at the right time, helping boost participation, deliver targeted value, and maintain group structure.
Tekmatix now allows you to automatically grant or revoke private channel access using workflow triggers and actions. This means you can control access dynamically as part of your user onboarding, membership upgrades, or course/module completion flows.

Grant Private Channel Access
Revoke Private Channel Access
Let’s say you manage a Digital Marketing Mastermind inside Tekmatix. You want to give paying members access to an exclusive “Pro Tips” private channel, while still allowing free members to stay in the general group.
Automation Example:
When a user purchases the Pro Membership, they are added to the group and granted access to the “Pro Tips” channel.
If their membership ends, a separate workflow revokes their private channel access—but keeps them in the main community.
Navigate to Automated Workflows > Workflows in your Tekmatix dashboard.
Click “+ Create Workflow” and choose “Start from Scratch.”
Select either:
Private Channel Access Granted — for granting
Private Channel Access Revoked — for removing access
Note: These are system triggers based on private channel events.
Click “+ Add Action” inside the workflow.
Choose either:
Grant Private Channel Access
Revoke Private Channel Access
Select the Community Group and Private Channel involved.
Tekmatix will automatically add the user to the group (if not already a member) when granting access.
You can chain this with other actions like:
Sending a welcome email
Starting a nurture sequence
Tagging users for segmentation
Run a controlled test with a dummy user to confirm the automation behaves as expected.
Click “Save” and then toggle the workflow to Activate.
Only private channels are eligible in this feature.
If granting access to a user who is not yet in the group, Tekmatix automatically adds them to the group first.
Revoking access only removes access to the channel, not from the entire community group.
Perfect for membership tiers, program milestones, or exclusive learning content.
Combine this feature with Tekmatix tags or membership product triggers to tightly control access based on subscription or course completion.
With this new automation capability, you can scale your communities without the hassle of manually managing who sees what. Whether you’re running an online course, coaching program, or membership-based community, Tekmatix puts precision access control in your hands—automatically.
