For existing users, there is nothing you need to change. Your current Slack workflows and connections will continue working as expected.

Moving Slack to the Marketplace gives Tekmatix a more flexible and scalable foundation for supporting future Slack features and improvements.

This change is largely happening behind the scenes, but it helps prepare the integration for continued development.

Seamless Migration for Existing Users

If you already use Slack with Tekmatix, your existing connection will continue working.

Older Slack connections will initially remain on the existing architecture. Once the updated integration moves out of Labs, existing connections are expected to be migrated automatically without requiring users to reconnect or rebuild their workflows.

How Does the New Slack Integration Work?

The way you actually use Slack inside Tekmatix remains largely the same.

With the updated integration:

• New Slack connections are created using the Marketplace architecture.

• Existing Slack connections continue working as normal.

• Existing workflows using Slack remain compatible.

• Users will not need to rebuild existing automations.

• Existing connections can be migrated automatically as the new integration is rolled out more widely.

The aim is to improve the underlying technology without disrupting the workflows you already rely on.

How to Enable the New Slack Marketplace Integration

The updated Slack integration is currently available through Labs for early access.

To enable it:

1. Open your Tekmatix account.

2. Go to your sub-account settings.

3. Open Labs.

4. Locate the updated Slack Marketplace integration.

5. Enable the feature.

Once enabled, new Slack connections will use the updated Marketplace framework.

A Stronger Foundation for Tekmatix and Slack

This update may not dramatically change what you see on screen today, but it strengthens the technology powering Slack integrations inside Tekmatix.

With improved authentication, greater scalability and backward compatibility for your existing workflows, the new Marketplace-based integration provides a stronger foundation for future Slack automation features.

If you already use Slack in Tekmatix, you can continue working as normal while the new architecture is progressively rolled out.
