If your working week does not neatly begin on Sunday, your Tekmatix Calendars can now better reflect the way your business actually operates.
Tekmatix has improved how Week Start preferences work across Meetings, Services and Rentals, making your chosen start day more consistent throughout the in-app scheduling experience.
You can now choose whether your week starts on Saturday, Sunday or Monday, and Tekmatix will apply that preference across relevant calendar and scheduling areas.
Your selected Week Starts On preference is now reflected more consistently across Tekmatix Calendars.
Depending on the calendar type you are using, your chosen week start day can now appear across areas including:
Calendar views
Appointment creation and editing
Schedules and availability settings
Staff availability
Date pickers
Business operating hours
This means that when you move between different parts of your calendar settings and scheduling tools, your preferred week structure remains consistent.
For businesses operating internationally, across different cultures, or simply using a Monday-to-Sunday working week, this small change can make calendar management much easier to understand at a glance.
Tekmatix allows you to choose from three Week Start options:
Saturday
Sunday
Monday
The setting is configured separately for Meetings, Services and Rentals, giving you more control over how each part of your scheduling system is displayed.
You can configure your Week Start preference from the Calendar Settings area for each calendar type.
Go to:
Calendars > Meetings > Preferences
Find the Week Starts On setting and choose:
Saturday
Sunday
Monday
Save your changes.
Go to:
Calendars > Services > Global Settings > In-App Settings
Select your preferred Week Starts On option and save your changes.
Go to:
Calendars > Rentals > Global Settings > In-App Settings
Choose whether you want your week to begin on Saturday, Sunday or Monday, then save your settings.
Once saved, Tekmatix will automatically reflect your preference throughout the relevant in-app calendar and scheduling experiences.
There is one important distinction to be aware of.
Your customer-facing booking widget Week Start settings remain independent from your in-app calendar preferences.
Changing the Week Start preference inside Meetings, Services or Rentals will not automatically change the configuration of your booking widgets.
This means you can have one Week Start preference for your internal team while displaying a different week structure to customers booking appointments online.
For example, your internal business calendar might begin on Monday, while a particular customer-facing booking widget could still display Sunday as the first day of the week.
This gives you greater control over both the internal scheduling experience and the way your customers interact with your booking calendars.

Calendar settings can seem like a small detail until your business operates across different regions, teams, services or scheduling models.
Having your preferred Week Start day applied consistently can help:
Make weekly schedules easier to scan
Reduce confusion when managing staff availability
Keep appointment scheduling aligned with your normal working week
Make operating hours easier to configure
Create a more familiar scheduling experience for international teams
Keep internal calendar preferences separate from customer-facing booking experiences
It is another small but useful improvement designed to make Tekmatix Calendars more flexible for the way your business actually works.
If Monday feels like the natural beginning of your business week, set it to Monday.
If your organisation operates on a Saturday-first or Sunday-first calendar, you can choose that instead.
Head into your Meeting, Service or Rental Calendar settings, select your preferred Week Starts On option, save it, and Tekmatix will apply it across the relevant in-app scheduling experience.
Your customer-facing booking widgets can still be configured separately, giving you control over both sides of the booking experience.
