Managing opportunities effectively often depends on knowing who is responsible for them and who needs visibility into their progress.
That's why Tekmatix now allows you to use Opportunity Owners and Opportunity Followers as conditions within If/Else workflow branches, giving you more flexibility when building automated sales, account management, and follow-up processes.
You can now create workflow logic based on whether an opportunity has assigned owners or followers.
Previously, these fields were not available within If/Else conditions, limiting your ability to automate actions based on opportunity ownership.
With this update, workflows can now evaluate:
Opportunity Owners
Opportunity Followers
This allows contacts and opportunities to be routed down different workflow paths based on the assignments attached to the opportunity.
When a workflow reaches an If/Else step, Tekmatix can now check the Opportunity Owners and Opportunity Followers fields associated with the opportunity.
Based on the conditions you define, the workflow will automatically direct the contact or opportunity down the appropriate branch.
This creates more intelligent automation opportunities for sales teams, account managers, and customer success processes.
Open an existing workflow or create a new one.
Add or edit an If/Else action.
Select Opportunity Owners or Opportunity Followers as the condition field.
Configure your desired condition.
Save and publish your workflow.
Your automation will now evaluate ownership and follower assignments whenever it reaches that step.
Many businesses use opportunity ownership to manage sales pipelines, assign responsibilities, and track account progress.
Opportunity followers are also commonly used to keep team members informed without making them the primary owner.
Until now, workflows couldn't make decisions based on these assignments.
